Available Franchise Territories
Laurel Attic Insulation is opening protected territories in markets where homeowners are already dealing with heat, humidity, and utility bills that climb every summer. We’re not selling a name and a truck. We’re selling a system that was built starting in 2003 inside the Relay Home Co. family: written pricing before work starts, live arrival tracking, photo updates, and a 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing on every job. The first operator in a territory gets a protected area and no competition from another Laurel location inside it. That’s the whole point.
Open Markets
These states currently have open territory available. Each one has a combination of older housing stock, extreme temperature swings, or fast-growing suburbs where attics are under-insulated and homeowners are ready to pay for a fix that shows up on time.
- Texas – Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth have thousands of homes built before 1990 with R-19 fiberglass in attics that routinely hit 140°F in August.
- Florida – Air conditioning runs eleven months a year here. Radiant barrier and proper attic insulation are not optional upgrades, they’re monthly bill reducers.
- California – Title 24 energy codes push attic insulation requirements, and homeowners in the Central Valley know exactly what 105°F does to a second story.
- Georgia – Atlanta’s humidity makes spray foam and air sealing a year-round conversation.
- North Carolina – The Research Triangle and Charlotte suburbs are full of homes from the 1980s and 1990s with settled insulation and no air sealing.
- Arizona – Phoenix attics hit 150°F plus. Attic insulation here is a safety issue as much as a comfort one.
- Tennessee – Nashville’s growth means new construction cuts corners, and older homes in East Nashville have attics that haven’t been touched since the Carter administration.
- Ohio – Cleveland and Columbus deal with ice dams in winter and humidity in summer. Both problems trace back to the attic.
- Pennsylvania – Pittsburgh and Philadelphia have dense older housing stock with sloped roofs, kneewalls, and attics full of surprises.
- Colorado – Denver’s freeze-thaw cycles and high-altitude sun punish insulation. Homes at 5,000 feet need different math than homes at sea level.
- Washington – Seattle’s damp climate means moisture control matters as much as R-value. Wet insulation fails quietly.
- Virginia – Northern Virginia and Richmond have a mix of historic homes and 1990s tract housing, both with attic problems.
How Territories Work
When you claim a territory, you get a defined geographic area that is yours. No other Laurel Attic Insulation location will operate inside it, market to it, or take jobs in it. We map the territory boundaries before you sign anything, so you know exactly what you’re getting. Your territory is reserved with a signed agreement and a territory fee. From that point, it is protected as long as you remain an active Laurel location in good standing.
The model is simple: you run the business. We provide the system behind it. That includes the Relay Visibility Guarantee, the 365-Day Done Right Promise, access to materials from Owens Corning, Johns Manville, Knauf, Rockwool, CertainTeed, Icynene, Demilec, and GreenFiber, and the booking platform that lets customers track your arrival time to their door. You are an independently owned and operated business. You are not a corporate employee. You are the owner, the name on the local invoices, and the person homeowners call back when the next job comes up.
We don’t oversell territories. Each market gets the number of operators it can actually support, and no more. That is how first-mover advantage actually works. The first person to claim a territory gets the best geography and the best shot at becoming the known name in that area before anyone else hangs a shingle.
How Much Does a Territory Cost?
We give you a written number before you make any commitment. No bait pricing, no “it depends on the day” nonsense. The territory fee covers the right to operate in a protected area, access to the Relay booking and tracking system, brand materials, and the training to run jobs the Laurel way. Ongoing fees are structured and disclosed up front. You will know every number before you sign. If you want the full breakdown for a specific market, call us. We’ll walk through it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Your territory boundaries are written into your agreement. No other Laurel location can operate, advertise, or take work inside them. We enforce it because it protects the brand and the operator. When you call, we’ll show you the exact language in the agreement before you pay anything.
No. We train operators on attic insulation, spray foam, and insulation removal, including the safety side. The model works for people who have run service businesses before and for people who are good with customers and willing to learn the trade. What we do require is a commitment to the Relay Standard: show up on time, put the price in writing, send photos, and stand behind the work.
You get the booking platform, the tracking system that powers the Relay Visibility Guarantee, access to our eight manufacturer supply relationships, and the brand materials to market your location. The 365-Day Done Right Promise and the free second visit policy are part of every job, not optional add-ons. Call (361) 315-4177 to talk through the details.
That depends on your market and how quickly you move through training. Some operators are running jobs within weeks of signing. Others take longer. The real answer is: we will not slow you down with unnecessary process. You get the system, the training, and the territory. Then you go run it.
The people who call first. We do not hold markets. The open list is the open list. If you are serious about a market, call and ask about it. The worst that happens is you learn the numbers and decide it is not for you. But if you wait, someone else gets the map.
